Denji is a destitute teenage boy living a miserable life, forced to hunt down dangerous devils to pay off his deceased father's astronomical debts to the yakuza. Armed only with his pet chainsaw devil, Pochita, Denji is betrayed and brutally murdered. In his final moments, Pochita sacrifices himself and merges with Denji's heart, resurrecting him as the legendary Chainsaw Man—a unique human-devil hybrid. Recruited by the mysterious Makima into the Public Safety Devil Hunters, Denji is thrown into a violent, chaotic new world of supernatural warfare.
