After a mysterious blinding flash of light turns the entire human population into stone, thousands of years pass. High school student Taiju Oki awakens to find a world of statues. Soon, his scientific-genius friend Senku Ishigami also breaks free from petrification. Equipped with Senku's analytical mind and Taiju's physical strength, they resolve to kickstart civilization and rebuild human society from the stone age back to the modern era using the power of science.
