Set in an alternate, grim 1930s New York during the Great Depression, Ben Reilly is a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator struggling to grapple with his past life as the city's sole, hard-boiled superhero: The Spider. Following a deeply personal tragedy, Reilly is dragged back into the dark, violent underbelly of the city to investigate a high-stakes conspiracy. Forced to confront powerful crime bosses and emerging superpowered threats, he must decide whether to embrace his violent vigilante roots or finally become the hero New York desperately needs.
