Vinland Saga

Set in 11th-century Europe, young Thorfinn grows up listening to tales of the fabled, peaceful land of Vinland from old sailors. However, his life of domestic tranquility is shattered when his legendary warrior father, Thors, is brutally murdered by a mercenary band led by the cunning Askeladd. Fuelled solely by a desire for revenge, Thorfinn joins Askeladd's crew to earn formal duels with him, thrusting himself into the bloody, continent-spanning war for control of England.
